Our Story
Golf has always been a part of our story.
I grew up playing the game, and years later I met my fiancée, who played golf at Brigham Young University. Today, I have the privilege of caddying for her at championships and qualifiers.
That’s where I discovered my first leather yardage book.
I loved the ritual of it.
Pulling it from my pocket. Slowing down. Thinking through the shot. Committing to a decision.
The problem was that, like most golfers, I still relied on my phone for GPS. My phone was constantly moving between the cart, my golf bag, and my pockets. It never felt like it belonged.
I wanted the timeless feel of carrying a leather yardage book without giving up the convenience of the golf apps I used every round.
So I bought some leather, a few tools, and built the first prototype by hand.
When I handed it to my fiancée, she smiled and quietly said,
“My Tata would’ve loved this.”
“Tata” means Dad in Polish.
Her father, Marek, passed away in December 2022 after a five-year battle with colon cancer.
He wasn’t a lifelong golfer. He discovered the game in his twenties and worked relentlessly until he became a scratch player. He loved beautiful leather goods, premium golf equipment, and anything built with care. More importantly, he shared that love of golf with his daughter, taking her to lessons, learning alongside her, and helping shape the golfer she would become.
In that moment, this stopped being just a leather project.
It became a way to honor the kind of golfer Marek was.
Our first product is Tata’s Yardage Book.
It brings the timeless feel of a traditional leather yardage book to the device golfers already rely on every round.
It is only the beginning.
Everything we create will have to answer one question:
Would Tata have been proud to carry this?
Because every golfer has a shelf.
It’s where the things that matter live.
The putter that holed the winning putt.
The yardage book from your favorite trip.
The divot tool your dad gave you.
The leather that’s softened with every round.
We’re building golf goods worthy of a place on Tata’s shelf.
And, we hope, worthy of a place on yours.
